Women Circle - Winter Red Tent

Circles with a sacred center are ancient and one of the oldest form of social interaction. The fire was in the center as the people cooked and ate their food, heard stories, worshiped their gods and goddesses, and passed down the traditions and wisdom that kept them alive and healthy.

Ladies-only circles, too, have been taking place for ages, all around the world. Many were directly tied to menstruation and the moon cycles. There are menstrual hut and moon lodge traditions all over the world that date back to 800 CE and in some places are still practiced today. The red tent menstrual tradition and moon lodges grew in popularity as a sacred space for women and girls to affirm their spirituality and sexuality, and to heal from the wounds of patriarchy through connecting with each other.

Those woman that have come before us have paved the way, creating space for this pivotal time where we are shifting, changing and transforming. By gathering together, setting goals, and talking about challenges, women could make serious strides at work.

When we’re in a setting where we’re not going to compete with each other, there’s a hormonal response that we’re safe. And that allows us to look each other in the eye and talk about real stuff that is going on in our lives.

My intention is, that every woman who walks through the doors at BE IN TOUCH Space has an experience that supports her and empowers her to live her life at the fullest and most authentic level. Each women should feel nourished, re-connected with her deep trust, that life, mother earth and the beautiful "net" of caring women are there for her, always. I want women to (re-)find their voices, to express their needs and dreams and to deeply connect with ther own worth.

This Red Tent takes place on the 19th of February. It is a date when we experience a shift from the visionary and progressive energy, where we usually feel quite connected to the whole, into one of the oldest existing energies in this universe: our link or key to our spirit. It is said that from 20th of February on we can dive into our deepest spiritual nature and float amid the divine. 

In our February Red Tent we will open up for these two qualities. We will share beliefs, that mislead us, that may block the experience of feeling connected or worthy, that blur or numb our most inner truth and healthy intuition. Sitting together in a circle, listening without judgement with an open heart and love for the other women, will re-connect us to our deepest inner parts: to the experience of having a place or role in this life and this nourishing feeling of being carried by life itself.

I am so happy to host this circle together with my lovely soul-mate Melina this time.
