Swadharma is that action which is in accordance with your nature. It is acting in accordance with your skills and talents, your own nature (svabhava), and that which you are responsible for (karma).

What teaches the Bhagavad Gita about our duty in life? Listen to the Lecture and get an insight into ancient yogic wisdom. Start your journey of getting to know the deep meaning of the lines from the Gita, a great source of inspiration for more than one lifetime.

In this lecture, I will focus on presenting to you the concept of SWADHARMA (Baghavad Gita) which can be translated as our inherent duty in life.

We discuss some SHLOKAS from the Bhagavad Gita about SWADHARMA - some thoughts that allow us to be at ease with 'being authentic'.

I am looking forward to many interested people. This workshop can be your starting point for a daily yoga and meditation practice or offer a deeper understanding and inspiration for the already established practice.

We will gather on Palm Sunday, which is the last Sunday of Lent according to Christian tradition. This day also marks the beginning of the week of silence - a lifelong journey.

Open for a circle of 12 people.

Namaste

INTRODUCTION in the BHAGAVAD GITA

WHAT does the concept of SWADHARMA teach us?

BARBARA PROBST

Hello Yogi. I will be your teacher in this lecture. My path with yoga began in the year 2000 when I came back from France to Vienna to study philosophy and education studies. I have been practising traditional Hatha Yoga regularly since then and the philosophical background, the reflecting part of studies, where the mind wonders, looking for understanding, was one of my favourites. My professor back then was teaching a lot of Indian Philosophy as well as Asian Thoughts, which caught my attention form the first class. We were discussing the path of Yoga and spiritual thinking from Patanjali's "Yoga Sutra" to Sri Aurobindo's "The Life Divine". I fell in love with Sanskrit and thinking in such ways. I feel very honoured for having found a wonderful teacher, guide and beautiful soul in the Yoga Master Prasad Rangnekar, with whom I have gained a deeper understanding of the Gita and other yogic scriptures. I am looking forward to sharing with you these pearls of wisdom.
