You don't always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breath, trust, let go and see what happens.
SILENCE RETREAT
SILENCE RETREAT
YOGA + MEDITATION in the MOUNTAINS
3. - 9.DECEMBER 2018
ARRIVAL: Monday 3.Dec 2pm
DEPARTURE: Sunday 9.Dec 2pm
SCHAFFERALM - STMK
Preßnitzgraben 27
St. Stefan ob Leoben
Austria
Silence is the source of true healing. Once the fluctuations of the mind calm down, this process will start.
We will retreat for a full week from the busyness of the city and our daily occupations. When the mind is silent and the body can rest, our wounds can recover and our soul is at peace. The nature, the simple life, the warmth of the wooden fire, the fresh mountain air and the company with a small circle of likeminded people - our Sangha for this week - will be our treatments.
We will start and end the day with Yoga and Meditation, study the texts of Yoga about Silence and Meditation and enjoy our true inner nature: the silence.

THE CHALET (SCHAFFERALM)
The chalet is a newly renovated 300 years old farmers-house in the mountains, surrounded by forests and meadows. The house and the whole area nearby are ancient power places, that invite you to come into silence and peace. The place is a place to be.
The house offers 5 rooms with 2-4 beds including their separate bathroom and toilet.
Underneath the roof will be our Meditation and Yoga room and in the cozy warm Kitchen we will have breakfast, lunch, tee and dinner.
BARBARA PROBST
Barbara's path with yoga began in 2000 when she came back from France to Vienna to study. She has been practicing traditional Hatha Yoga regularly since than. Falling in love with the practice and her interest in traveling the world including sacred India has given her the experience that Yoga was far more than just good for relaxing. Her practice has shown her the power of healing on deep levels of our existence.
During her journeys through India, Nepal and Southeast Asia she could deepen her experience and knowledge of Yoga and Meditation. In 2005 she completed her training as an Ayurvedic masseuse in India and two years later she sat her first Vipassana meditation course, which now became an integral part of her life.
After her step into self-employment in 2012 as a body awareness trainer (Grinberg Method), she completed her first Yoga Teacher Training with Prasad Rangnekar in 2016, followed by an additional education in Pre- and Postnatal Yoga with Romana Delberg, Tina Nirtl and Katarina Kreindl at Yogawerkstatt in Vienna 2017. She continued on her path and deepened her understanding and practice in Yoga on the 300hr Yoga Teacher Training with Prasad Rangnekar in 2018 in Tamil Nadu.
Her classes will give you a firm and strong base on every aspect of Yoga in order to jump straight into your daily self-practice or get a wider understanding of why you are doing what you do during the Yoga-Asana-Class.

SOME IMPRESSIONS FROM THIS YEAR
We arrived at the chalet this year on the 3rd of DECEMBER 2018.
When we parked our car in front of the house and opened the doors we could hear the birds singing and a warm sunny breeze touched our faces. Nearly opposite to last year we found ourselves in a seemingly spring-time atmosphere at the alpine planes. The thick woolen socks and thermo-shirts were of no need. With open jackets and sunshine in the face, we fully enjoyed the warm temperatures. The days started at 6am waking up. Starting to meditate at 6:30 followed by 1,5 hours of Yoga-Asana Practice. In total we have spend 7 full days of Meditation, Yoga and Mouna (Silence) together. I am always fascinated how healing and easy it is to spend a few daily away from daily routines, away from laptops and computers, away from phone connection and things that keep us busy. After 3 days our heads became more and more silent, everybody was recharging his and her energy and felt much clearer, much more him- and herself, much more connected and relaxed.
There was plenty of time for rest and to marvel at the beauty of nature, breathing fresh air and walking in the nearby forests. In the evening we continued to practice yoga and meditation together. In traditional Satsang (the gathering and reflection, talking about theme-relevant aspects of yoga and meditation) Michael Ende's book "Momo" has inspired us and reminded us of our self-responsibility about how we are spending and using our time.
Each time again this place in the mountains and the experience of silence is healing and a very special experience.
Now I would like to share with you some voices from the participants of the this years retreat:
